Mehandipur Balaji Darshan Timings and Best Time to Visit
A little planning makes your Mehandipur Balaji darshan much easier. Here is what you should know about timings, busy days and the best season.
Darshan and aarti timings
The temple usually opens early in the morning, around 6 AM, and stays open until late evening. The morning aarti is usually held soon after the doors open. Many devotees reach by 5:30 AM to be in time for it.
Timings change between summer and winter and on festival days, so please confirm the day's timings locally before you set out.
Best time to visit
October to March is the most comfortable time, with pleasant weather. Summer afternoons in Rajasthan can be very hot, so if you visit between April and June, plan your darshan for early morning or evening.
Busy days
- Tuesdays and Saturdays are Balaji's special days and draw the biggest crowds.
- On busy days, the darshan queue can take two hours or more.
- Other weekdays are usually calmer.
Festivals
Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami are the biggest festivals at Mehandipur Balaji. The whole town fills with devotees, bhajans and decorations. If you plan to come during a festival, book your stay well in advance.
Simple tips
- Carry very little: no big bags and no valuables.
- Keep water and a light snack for after darshan, never inside the temple.
- Wear comfortable footwear you can leave outside easily.
Staying at Anjani Mahal puts you 2 minutes from the temple, so you can join the early morning aarti without a long drive.
